 last night's dream- I'm stumbling through a maze of effect doors and stage hand areas, getting in people's ways, all of which are doing their jobs, performing made up Japanese masking rituals, smearing through the paint, almost getting stuck in an automatic shoot, crossing into plushed up bridal waiting areas and the crystal rooms next door where a bunch of partnerlook bridesmaids are partying and gazing angrily at me as I drag mask paint all over the fluffy carpet, through a catering area where an intern takes pity and hands me a meal of cooked dog with red cabbage which I truthfully decline. I am desperately trying to find my way to the landscape but it is always behind something in service to the great commodity of a show somewhere being done by a main act whom I passed in silence in the back of a hall. I'm a stranger to every one there, like a critter in the backdrop. Awoke with the tenseness of that feeling in my jaw.. outside a man was screaming three times by the Schleuse. It was loud but demonstrative, I didn't hear urgency or necessity in his voice.

Things that woke me up in the night:

-cold feet and knees

-growling creatures in a quarrel in front of the tent, what I now believe to be badgers

- an animal plunging into the water with a loud splash two times

- bellowing drunk men singing in the distance (scary), three screams of a distant man in the morning just when the birds began, then silence
