Things that woke me up in the night:
-cold feet and knees
-growling creatures in a quarrel in front of the tent, what I now believe to be badgers
- an animal plunging into the water with a loud splash two times
- bellowing drunk men singing in the distance (scary), three screams of a distant man in the morning just when the birds began, then silence
- the same hoarse call I think I heard on the Island (deer?):
